Triumph.

I purchased nothing today. To paraphrase a great character: I didn't sell anything, buy anything or process anything today. I didn't sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought or processed.

What bliss.

Yay for Say Anything reference and for triumphing over capitalism! I was about to have a purchase free day, but now I think I need a light mocha frapuccino in order to go on working for 2 more hours. Ah well.

I would embrace capitalism fueled by needs rather than rampant, excessive, useless purchasing. And I would be the first to acknowledge the necessity of icy coffee drinks on long, long work days. I think a one-purchase day is a pretty admirable feat. Congratulations, Val!

I must admit I later had 2 other purchases stymied...

One was a walk to the video store, tho rent the aforementioned Say Anything, which, to my horror, Chris had never seen! But they were closed...

And on the walk home we heard some sweet fiddling coming from our local pub, so popped in for a beer. But, alas, I had no ID and - even though the owner there knows who I am, dammit - I still look 13 and was denied said beer.

So, stymied, but still left me with the glorious single-purchase day (silver lining?).
